afternoon fellas,
i picked my landy up and it's 5th wheel is lay in the back along with a few dirty mags and an empty bottle of coke, but my question is why wasn't it mounted to the rear door where the 3 long studs are ?

are they rear doors strong enough to take a wheel hanging off it ( it's a disco steel wheel) or should i look at the hinges first incase i mount the wheel only to rip the door off the back !

do you boys mount your spares on the rear or do you have mantecs ?

cheers

I have a standard wheel mounted on the rear door with black wheel cover and locking wheels nuts. The door copes just fine with it. If I had a swingaway I would be happier but I haven't so I make do.

I have a swingaway but i'm not any happier...

...what's wrong with me.:(

The rear door gets a hammering with a standard size spare wheel on it, so if its oversized then it might be a good idea to get yourself a swing away carrier if it bothers you having it inside. I bought a swing away carrier after I noticed that the internal door frame supports had all fractured and needed welding.
