No reverse lights

Panic stations, MOT in the morning just double checked my lights and as an after thought checked my reverse lights (in the reflection of my front room) no show on both........ checked the bulb filaments which look fine and checked the fuse, 2nd from left top row 15 amp which also looks fine. Any ideas anyone? could there be a loose connection somewhere?

Its a Freelander 2001 TD4, 5 door manual.

reverse lights are not a testable item

MOT Testers Manual every body should read this, otherwise how do you know ya mot tester aint pulling ya plonker wen his sez its failed?

it would be advisable to get it repaired though, it could be the switch (screwed into the gearbox)

Thanks guys, the mot manual is handy. I have just had a fiddle underneath and think the switch was loose. Everything is working fine now. (at least the reflection in the window looks good. I got fed up with the wife playing the thumbs up thumbs down game!)
