No more billing Land Rover show

just seen this on billing aquadrome Facebook page.

"After a full review of the events calendar at Billing Aquadrome, we regret to announce that we will no longer be hosting car show events after this year. Unfortunately we will no longer be able to accommodate these shows to a satisfactory level due to re-organisation.

We are however, very pleased to announce that we are putting all of our efforts into organising family focussed events; which we are all very excited about and we hope that all of our guests will be too!"

That's a shame

It's already on here somewhere.

But, apparently the farm are going to be organizing something.

this will include the off road course.

Not the only one, after 30 years, the Essex Country Show at Barleylands in Billericay has been axed.

It takes a lot of input to run these big shows and most is by volunteers, so if you can't find the helpers or if the finances don't work out, it gets the chop.

Fair enough they are trying to become a classy holiday park and having unsavouries for 4 days at the peak of summer causes chaos for them.

I'm here right now and wish I wasn't the only redeeming feature of this place is pitch size. The place itself is dirty r...un down the staff are miserable and dont speak if you dare to ask them a question nobody knows anything. Activities for the kids don't happen if there isn't enough people or the staff just can't be bothered, you pay £15ish for swimming and get an hour how is that value for money?? There is nowhere to go if it's raining there are piles of rubbish everywhere even though staff are driving round they're not collecting it. You've got workmen on site at the minute putting in plots for statics that are using the toilet blocks leaving piles of mud in the blocks surely they should have their own portaloos to use? I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone nothing on their website is accurate all the shopping units are empty I'm here till Friday but wouldn't be if I had my way. Needs a serious amount of money spending in it to bring it up to standard because at the minute it's nothing but a glorified hole for people to come smoke weed and get drunk this place would give gypsies a bad name. Horrible horrible place"
