hey all,

just done a clutch change on my landy and some other jobs that needed doing before the MOT. one of the jobs was to adjust the handbrake so it will hold the car on a hill. seeing as it had to be messed with while doing the clutch i left it till now.

i was reading around the site and found some pictures of an adjustment bolt on the back of the brake drum. my (2005 110 td5) doesn't seem to have this adjustment bolt.

i've done as much as i can from the handbrake end but it's still not holding on hills. i checked the pads and they are fine with a lot of material still on them and all parts moving as they should.

how do i adjust my handbrake at the brake drum end?

lower front of back plate in a recess is 17mm adjuster wind in clock wise to adjust ,you should adjust shoes then cable not other way round

Thanks for that!
The cable adjustment was out of desperation, I'll sort it now I know where to find the adjuster.

Thanks again.
