No dashboard lights or rear running lights!

Suddenly my dashboard lights are off, my rear running lights are off (the red ones when it's dark outside), and when I leave the headlights on and take out the key, it doesn't "ding ding ding" at me. I played with replacing fuses but honestly I have no idea which one to play with, or if that's even my problem. Any help would be appreciated.

(My hazards, reverse lights and headlights are working fine.)

It is a 96 Discovery SD Automatic.

Hi Matt, check fuse A8, on the fuse panel under the steering wheel. If this has blown, replace it and then, if you have a towbar, check the socket on the towbar which feeds the trailer lights, NOT THE SECOND SOCKET (if you have a second socket!!) for the caravan.

You need to open it up (so buy another 'just in case') and check for rust and faulty wiring. If in doubt, rewire it and then fill it up with grease to protect it before putting the top back on.
