Just had my disco 2 regassed the fan is running when started but the compressor isn’t kicking in ..the condenser fan was coming on b4 the regass I was told it could have over heated in the past now would the ECU turn the air con off as well ..driving me nuts help !!

The compressor is most probably seized and broke the clutch, if you can't turn the middle of the pulley with your hand that's it....happened to me, the engine ECU doesnt disable the aircon

Just a warning... my compressor died soon after a regas and the general consensus was that the shop where it was done used chinese stuff which kills the compressors, happened to other 3 fellows in less than 1 week... maybe not such problem in UK but better go to reputabe shops rather than some suspect indies.

I also got one off ebay back in the day when things were cheap! And it has worked fine ever since! And I think I also paid £40! So maybe not so cheap, or your IS cheap!

Yes it worked fine.
Seems that the bold fell out.
AS to the radiator, I reckon the clutch plate did it.
