NGK or champion???

Which should I go for on 1990 3.9 classic?

its the BPR6ES which is the right NGK for my car isnt it?

Does it matter if I dont by these from landrover?, as it seems to make a big difference with the lucas parts!

I replaced mine with champion just befor christmas but during the cold spell she had problems starting and and would only run on half the pots till she was warm so I have just replaced them with Bosch Super 4 WR91 from Bosch Super 4 Spark Plugs Land Rover/Range Rover 3.9 V8 on eBay (end time 07-Feb-10 17:06:44 GMT) when replaced she started first time and runs fine acceleration is much better runing is better although she tics over a bit fast till warm, will be puting the same ones in my P38 when I change then.

Thats great guys, shame they are nearly £4 a piece! But I will got for NGK- wheres the best place to get them??

Just a warning on those bosche super4's. One of my students put some in his nissan and they broke up and runied his engine, he is waiting for them to pay him for a rebuild.

Not only that I put some in my BMW thinking they would be better but had loads of running probs, put ngks back in and all was well .took them back to halfords and they said they have had loads of problems and they gave me £157 in compensation- it took about 18 months mind, lol:)

Back to the NGK's for a min.

I notice on the Ngk website it says:

Product Type Part No Stock No
Recommended BPR6E 6464
Alternative BPR6ES 7822

But on ebay they are selling the BPR6ES with the number 7822

Does this matter being an alternative rather then recommended, they seem quite cheap on ebay, are they dodgey?

This might help

The S stands for standard copper electrode.

Used to run Bosch Super 4's. Had them in Rovers (honda and rover engines) Alfa romeo t spark, pug's, Fords and my current RRC. Never had a problem with them. Ran the ones in my classic for about 19k miles still good when I took them out.
Currently using NGK's though as I couldn't get the bosch ones at the time.
Thinking of using splitfire ones when I rebuild the engine though.

Sorry to disagree guys but I've run three 3.5efi's (none on LPG) on Champs without problems. Can't say the same for NGK's
