Hello,

Matt here, just purchased a 2004 Freelander Sport Premium 96K, it's had a remap to 145bhp, I have just fitted a new clutch, master cylinder, slave.

Now I am looking to tinker and take it green Laning.

So will be coming to you chaps for advice.

I've already purchased some 16inch Freelander wheels and some hubcentric 5mm shims (I know some of you don't like them, but they are only tiny)

I've been eyeing up some 225/75/16 cooper discovery at3 4s as I've been offered them at £64 a tyre.

Next is a 40mm lift and possibly swapping the sport suspension for standard suspension.

I'll then be cleaning up the wheels and suspension to re sell on flebay, not sure on worth.

Thoughts on all or some of the above would be appreciated.

Cheers

Welcome Matt,
don't rush buying too much for it to quickly. You usually find that some parts you fit are no better than what's on it already. Make sure you get it all set for laning and that includes yourself. Be safe and don't go out on your own if you are not used to laning. I have known people spend a fortune on upgrading their vehicles and end up loosing thousands. Myself included in the past :):)
Its not just about the vehicle its about how you drive it as well in some situations.
Enjoy your Freelander

Unusual for you to post sensibly with good advice.

Well I did it,

30mm lift, standard suspension fitted, 5mm spacers, 225/75/15 maxxis buckshots.

No rubbing except on extreme suspension compression.

I've got the sports suspension and sport alloys for sale now all in great condition.

Anyone want them? I've tried listing on the for sale section but not had any takers

I don't think you can post in that section, as you don't have 50 constructive posts on the forum.
