Newbie owner....???

Hi all, I'm looking to buy my first Landrover. I'm looking for a comfortable road vehicle that will also deal with the hills and snow etc that is capaple of carrying a fairly large load with the seats down and have probably narrowed it down to a used Discovery. Freelander too small, Defender desirable as 'a look' but not really practical as I'm likely to spend more time on the road and I should just grow up ;@). I probably want to spend no more than 8K as it will be a new business start up car and I want to preserve cash flow.... I nearly went for a Jeep Grand Cherokee but I've seen the light so to speak.... I'd appreciate any guidance.:confused2:

I just drove my 300tdi 110 from Stroud to Redcar for xmas noo year and then drove it back. Comfy as owt. kept it at a nice steady 60/65mph most of the way


Nowt wrong with a defender for long distance driving. BUT if you don't need a the load space. then a disco is a comfier option. and prob gives a better 1st impression.
