Newbie from Stoke saying hello

Hello,
I recently bought an 88" series 3 truck cab (my first landy) after an eventful first couple of weeks i think i'm finally used to the vagueness of the steering, brakes, instruments, heaters etc.
I'm going off roading for the first time at the weekend and i'm as excited as i am nervous, what are the basics i need to check/do before going? and while there? i'm not planning on having water up to the windows just yet!

fuel in the tank and air in yer tyres should be more than enough checks

Cheers guys, only a couple of pics at the mo i'll take some more, it has got some 16" Wellers but i had to borrow these Land Rover wheels as i got a puncture the first day i had it.

only thing you could do with is a front recovery point and same on the rear if not already fitted
