Hi all, MrB from Cornwall checking in.....

New to Landies but currently have my eye on a 1995 Disco V8 Auto.

I'm looking for something for a weekend bit of fun.. Greenlaning, a bit of off roading and it also needs to tow a horse box from time to time. I'm hoping it'll come in handy if we have another snowy winter!

The vehicle is standard but I doubt it'll stay that way for long so I'm looking ( I think ) at changing tyres to all terrain and fitting some diff guards to start with

Any other suggestions and must do first mods? I was considering a 2" lift kit but read a thread on here that they can cause a lot of stress to related parts?

The truck in question is from a garage/specialist/dealer so will come with 3 month warranty. They have offered me a good deal on it and have also offered to fit any accessories I purchase without charging labour

Any advice, recommendations, help etc much appreciated :)

welcome :D dont bother with any mods as it will handle like a bag of ****e especially the lifting it part.Decent set of boots is all you need.

Thanks storm! Luckily it'll only be a part time tower and laner

Thanks Oddie, I'm between Liskeard, Launceston and Plymouth. A village called Callington... What about you? :)

Blimey! Bit close for my liking! I'm between Liskeard and St Austell ;)

Grew up in Tavy though so probably whupped yer arse on the rugby pitch at some point!

The very same!

OK, i would have whupped ya. Are you in the town itself or outskirts? My folks are just up the road from you at Syd Dam (have you been to the Royal at Horsebrige?)

Both of them are OK but pricey.

I got some hefty discount as he wants to move the 3 petrols on. He sold the black one just before I made an offer so I took the silver one.... Nicer and a better drive than the green. Got the silver for pretty much green money and there a re a few things they are going to do to it before I collect it plus a 3 month warranty, which as a landy newb is quite reassuring!!

Mt brother in law used to be head chef at the Royal a year or so ago

Glad to hear they are ok... Having f & r diff guards fitted and some insa turbo's to get me started.
