Newbie but willing to learn

Morning all had my defender, (bought for just a couple of months working down a track through a peat bog) now 7 years further down the line, im hooked want to give it a go off road soon not to bothered about paddling more interested in the terrain side I was thinking about mouldsworth? Any good for a complete novice
