Hi all

Just thought I would do the intro bit. After 33 years of having company cars I took voluntary redundancy at the end of Nov 2009 and have now bought my own Defender 90 County 1995. I'm over the moon with it, it's never been off roaded. What I didn't think of is that to go off road/green laning I would need to buy so many mods. I've got a steering guard, front & rear diff guards, snorkel, rock sliders, 4 x BF Goodrich ATs and a few little bits and pieces. I've probably spent about £1200 on it since I got it.

Anyway enough about me.

Before doing any changes you should really have decided what you want to do withit. Land Rovers are surprisingly good in standard trim. It is better to know what a standard one can do before throwing lots of money at them but never mind.

Guess you'll be wanting to use it properly now then?

See you're in Bedfordshire - North or South? Suggest you have a glance throughthe Hertfordshire Lanes thread inthe green laning section - you'll see there's a few of us tha go out and about from time to time.

Ok will do. I have been out with a mate of mine down Newbury/Oxford/Hungerford already before I bought mine. That's where I got the bug. South Beds btw.

im always up for going out,

i also have my own quarry with lots of different slopes if you want a controlled enviroment to test yr motor with out damaging it
