Hi people I have just bought a 2004 LANDROVER DISCOVERY LANDMARK TD5 which I pick up on Tuesday.
I have a problem. The key that remotely opens the door does not start the ignition I have a separate key for that.
Can I get a new key to open the door, switch on/off the alarm and start the car ?
The previous owner replaced the ignition barrel as the key broke inside it. I live in Northern Ireland so any advice would be great.

Thanks NIRover

Just replace the fob blade which is dor the doors with one cut to the profile of the ignition switch.

So then u can lock/unlock remotely which will then set/unset the alarm, remoblise the engine and have key turn in the ignition switch and start the engine..Job Done.

Blank blades can be found on e-bay, so u can get it cut at your local key cutter.

Where abouts in NI are you? Havlins beside castle court in Belfast should be able to do the lot for you. Have helped me out in a sticky situation once or twice before.
