Just fitted a new washer nozzle to the 110, it's so good now it works. Had to employ the small helping hand of my 14 year old daughter to put the m13 nut onto the new nozzle though. No room for big hands with a spanner in that space in the bulkhead.

Heater unit coming out Sunday and getting full overhaul

Watch this space!!!

I think I have already mentioned in our earlier chats but when you strip the heater make sure you check for corrosion as they can rot out at the bottom. When assembling, make sure you get a good seal around the matrix and that the flaps make a good seal, I used heat-resistant foam-rubber which is sold in conveniant rolls on Ebay. For re-fitting the heater-box back onto the bulkhead get a new seal (about £10 OE) as the old one is bound to be hard & crispy and you will struggle to make an effective one yourself.

I'll be giving it the works. It will be off the vehicle for at least a week while I sort it out properly. When I fitted the new fan switch last week I found that the operating cable ging to the arm on the side of the heater box was far to short (the inner cable would not reach the arm when fully extended) I had to cut about 40mm off the outer cable to get it to reach the nipple on the operating arm. The arm now lifts fully up and down, as the cable was (new out of the package) the outer cable would have had to have been cable tied to the bracket about 40 mm below the bracket. Like this the arm would have only opened half way. I did wonder if it was me, but after lots of looking and reading I think it was a crap pattern part.
