new? type of steering guard

so whats the benefit?They are sayin its better cos it doesnt cover as much. Am i being thick (I seriously doubt that, oh no!) but that means it just protects less. Also id suspect a bar is more likely to deform than a plate.I could use one of them at the back of me barbeque though to keep the burgers warm once there cooked.
 
surely a tube will have more strength and/or be lighter weight than a plate though... although with some fillets added to a plate there's just the weight saving
 
the amount i eat means that the last ones get cold.The first 30 odd are ok but after that they tend to be lukewarm or worse.
 
I was thinking if they were rollers then less chance of getting grounded but no strength in rollers
 
Could be the same effect as trying to butter bread with a fork rather than a knife. I think if you did catch a rock then rather scrape over it it could catch and bend rather than scratch. Handy for drying Mauds smalls when camping :)
