Well been fiddling with my new disco :), got it last week is a bit poorly was sitting down on one side (air bag) had a couple of good second hand ones so now all good.

Running poorly so first thing new plugs very little improvement, so leads and coil packs next FFS that could have been better thought out by designers.

Now idles better but still not happy revving, no more codes showing having cleared all the misfire one's, so disconnect MAF aaahhhhh thats seems a lot better revs a lot cleaner stopped popping back through inlet ect. :) time for a road test.

Does any one here know what readings the MAF should be giving at idle ect.???

Any way seems ok but soon starts holding back as soon as any power is asked for :(

Some pics to follow :D

Pics as promised :)

I prefer the blue but beggars can't be choosers :D wasn't actually looking to buy one but saw it and thought wot the hell looked ok in the picks :)

Little update, after fitting coil packs and leads last week which fixed the misfire but it still wouldnt rev, new MAF turned up today and all's good now.
Took it for a quick road test all was well until until it ran out of fuel as i floored it out of a mini roundabout

Ok little update on the disco, when i bought it in the advert it said exhaust fallen off it in boot? ok thought it was probably the rear silencer no probs, oh no it was the front pipes?? cant see them falling off:confused:

However there were a couple of broken studs so a bit of heat and some rust penetrant turbo socket and they both came out :D

Had a bit of bother getting the two cross members off but again rust penetrant and a turbo socket and got them all out :D

So thought give it a service, took sump plug out nothing  i know it had oil init cos i put some in when i first got it cos oil light was flickering .
So stuck a screw driver in and some thick grease like muck came out (this was a warm engine anorl :(

Here's a pick of the oil trying to get out of the sump, have flushed sump with new oil and some oil treatment 3 times and there is still some gooey sludge coming out, will be doing a couple more oil changes this week to try and the rest out.

Next job A/C not working so regassed it was expecting the worst as i have already A/C pipes off (coil pack change) and there was no gas in system at all.

However it vac'd out fine held vac with no signs of a leak :D recharged with gas and away it went ice cold result
This is the temp coming out of the passengers side vent that'll do:cool:

Another quick update, had a bit of a clunking going on when drive/reverse were selected, found a front propshaft U/J had seen better days :(

So set about changing them, (had already ordered replacements) well i've never done a double cardan type before that was interesting how it works (if your a sad spanner wa£$%$er like me) but all done and now no clunking, result, another job ticked of the list :D

Done another oil change anorl, oil still coming out black and a bit lumpy but getting better.
