Hi!
Since Landyzone has been most useful to me and my LR:s over the years I thought I´d take the step and become a member. Who knows, maybe I can contribute and give something back to all of you who has given me so much information.
I live in Stockholm and am a keen enthusiast of brittish cars. Currently I own a Range Rover L322 -02. Last week I sold my Hippo, a 2" raised FL1 with bigger tyres and a few other additions. That car got me hooked, a great little companion on safaris and greenlanings. I really liked it. But, it was a bit on the small side. Six months ago I got a son and before that I bought an X-type Estate to get our new little family around. The Hippo just didn't seem safe enough. But I am not sure what I was thinking, of course it turns out that the X-type was far to small for two adults, one dog and a baby. Doh! What to do? Well, I opted for an L322. Reliablility has never been a strong selling point with me anyway.
So, after a bit of searching and test drivning I got an early one, made inte the spring of 2002. I might come to regret it, but hey, for that money, I'll take the risk.
Two months into owning it I have had to delete an EAS fault code once (it came up again this morning though) and I have changed the radiator (covered by insurance). I also got a engine flush and teflon treatment while at the garage. It runs great and I have covered a couple of thousand k's with it by now and absolutely love it.
Apart from the L322 I still have the X-type, have not come around to sell it yet, I love buying cars, but hate selling them. I also have a RHD -92 XJS 4.0 that is supposed to be used in the summertime (as a track/road car), but it has not been used for the last 18 months... but this spring it will be different... right...
I am also a keen member in both the Swedish Jaguar Club and Swedish Land Rover Club. Great ways to get to know fools like myself who tend to go by the credo "emotional victory over reason" when they choose their cars.
So, thats about it, for now at least. See you out there!
