Well seeing as you've bought the one with the biggest thirst you must be able to afford any repairs!
But on the plus side if well and regularly serviced they're not to bad! Well that's my opinion.....
Enjoy............... ;)

You should have given him the link to the comprehensive list, not the short one :hysterically_laughi

sssshhhhhhhhh.........Dopey.........don't disillusion the man....it hasn't gone wrong yet, give it time.......;)

To be fair Big Bill, **** taking/winding up is a normal pastime here, some people have purchased true lemons/pups and spent a fortune sorting them, but if your willing to get your hands dirty at times most aren't to bad. Theres loads of P38's that run without to many problems. Just remember that most of the people here have had/got problems that why we're here, because the vehicle hasn't been serviced properly for some time, or has been sold because the previous owner can't afford to maintain/run it.

Peeps here are willing to advise/help, some repair them for a living and some of us have diagnostic kit, hence your location helps...

Range Rovers are a true "Gentleman's Conveyance" but they're like any woman they like to be appreciated, loved, and pampered, which cost money at times...

You forgot to add " and have tantrums and will stand you up"......;)

But seriously Big Bill - I like your attitude ie buy first and ask questions second.

Your Autobiography might well prove to be a good one - fingers crossed for you. What paint colour and trim does it have?

I think if I had done so much reading on them BEFORE I bought it, I probably wouldn't have done!! So I am glad I didn't!

I researched them before I bought mine and a mate who had one tried to warn me off but it's a great motor to drive mines had some issues but then wot cars don't I love it had a classic before and the ride and comfort wasn't a patch on a p38. It will cost you money but look after it and enjoy it and welcome !

Well Glad I bought mine, only had it 4 days and its gone wrong already, leaking in the footwell and I am sure an airbag is leaking as it looks like its getting down on one knee to propose to me!

But Cant beat the smile on my face when I drive it! even though my main car is 3 year old E320 mercedes, its not been off the drive since I bought the old RR
