Just thought I'd say hi. I've recently bought my first Land Rover, a 1972 series IIa lightweight. It's the first Land Rover I've ever owned, but not the first old (sorry, classic) car I've ever had.

I'm hoping to use it daily and with the price of parts and the aluminium body I should be able to tidy it up for not a lot of money. I'm also curious to see if anyone uses their Land Rover to cut grass! I have a few acres with paths cut through them and was hoping to couple the Land Rover up to a grass cutter to make the job a bit easier.

I don't know anything about these machines as you'll soon see from my posts (I'll check the FAQs first), so please be gentle with me :)

Thanks,

Flolydster

yer actual landrover was first designed to take the place of the tractor on the farm so you could pull a plough if ye like. and if you get a pto fitted the sky yer limit. where about in central sweatyland are you?

What do you reckon to Falkirk wheel? Is it worth a visit.
I wouldn’t travel hundreds of miles just to see it, although it is very impressive. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area though. Haven’t been on it in a boat but it is amazing to watch when it rotates.
