New Owner - First Problem

Hi Guys

First time Disco owner, 1997 300tdi.

I used the site as ref before purchase and also done my egr, got a decat ready to fit etc.

First problem.
Started as normal this morning, but i have lost all dash illumination, including heater and all green light switches. Everything else works perfect, ie, radio, clock, electric seats. Switches illuminate 'red' when pressed, just no 'green' anywhere.

Checked the fuses under dash, all correct. Checked fuses and fused links in engine bay, all correct.

Any advise would be much appreciated.

Mine does it regularly ... tw4t the dash next to the instrument binnacle and the lights will return .. well, mine always do!

Keep meaning to do something about it, trace the fault/earth/connection etc but cba just yet ...

All sorted

Turned out that 'fuse 8 - r/h side and tail lights' was loose in the holder. When I was testing continuity accross it with the fluke I was pushing it into the holder with the fluke probes, then it would move. Tweeked the fitment, all sorted.

The wife noticed the r/h rear lights out as I left for work!!

One to remember, side light fuse effects the whole dash illumination.(dash fuse is No 14)
