So I can no longer have a Taxed motor sat in my garage unless its got insurance??
What a load of bollox. ****ing govt ****ers have nothing better to do.

Can't see the point, if people want to drive uninsured they'll just sorn it and carry on.

It'd show up on an anpr anyway for no insurance so they aint gonna be bothered about no tax as well

Don't see a problem with this you have to have insurance to get tax, if the car is off the road it should be sorn anyway.

The only time i can see it being a problem is if you take your car off the road to do some work onit and have to transfere your ins. to another vehicle you will have to send tax disc back sorn it and then retax it when it goes back on the road bit of a pain but if its only for a couple of weeks i wouldn't bother if it was longer than a month i would send tax back anyway.

Thought you had a trade policy Fan in which case shouldn't afect you should it?

It doesn't mean that at all.

It means if its not SORN'd then has to be insured. Seems fair to me.
how?
I had several vehicles. At one stage last year my insurance had run out on me festa. It was taxed and motd but the policy had run out.Got some quotes werent happy with em so didnt insure it. Drive me other insuured taxed n motd vehicles whilst it was parked on me drive. Looked again about a fortnight later and found insurance and reinsured it. Didnt need sorning cos thats a tax issue. Didnt break the law cos i dint drive it. How would that be fair that i get punished for that?Just gonna drive premiums up, supply and demand will be replaced with supply and leaglly required.

It'd **** me up as well at the moment...

Pranged the Escort xmas eve, and bought a Focus as a replacement,

Escort is sat in the yard at work waiting to be sold on, its taxed but not insured as the insurance is now on the Focus,

Having tax already on the Escort helps to sell it as if someone comes to look at it and wants it they can drive it away on the day, according to these new regs I won't be able to do it like this any more, load of bollocks.

Doesn't really bother me. I only have one vehicle and one bike. Bike is kept mot'd, taxed and insured, but has only done mot mileage in the past two years. I only keep it because I need my coocil garage for my boat, if I got rid of bike I'd have no excuse for keeping a boat in their garage beside my bike. Though, I think I'll start to use it again this year. I always enjoy it when I'm out, but there just isn't enough days in the week for me to do everything I want.
