new guy from belfast

how's it going fellas,
i just picked up my first landy last night and thought i'd find a forum on the net to help me with a few problems and found this was the best.

i got an '88 90 defender which some knobber has painted black at one stage but apart from it's looks it sems to drive well ( well for a 90 defender), inside the seats are a bit worse for wear and there are a few dash bulbs out, a couple of controls that don't work ( wiper high speed, horn, flash button) but i'm hoping you guys might be able to help along the way.

one of the main problems i have is the fuel guage is reading full, i know it's not and there is only £10 worth of derv in it so i'm hoping it's just a faulty earth os something, is this a common fault on defenders ?

once i get 10 mins free i'll get a few snaps of the old girl for you all to poke fun at but in the meantime i'll have a brouse around if you don't mind.

well here she is boys, 1987 model with a really crap home paint job ...

does anyone recognise the wheels ? are they LR wheels or aftermarket jobbies ?

Looks like Disco 1 steels to me.

What he said ^^^ got them on mine most of the time.

And aren't shoddy home paint jobs 'de rigeur' for 90s?
