Hi all i brought my 1st freelander today really happy with it in great nick it a 2001 td4.Drove it home over 100 miles and drives fantastic no faults.
The only thing i was concerned about was the tyres the front 2 are khumo kh17 and the back 2 are pirelli scorpions and i thought it wasn't a good idea to mix do i need to have same tyres on each corner or do i have that wrong? all tyres are the same size with all about 3mm remaining.

measure the rolling diameter. biggest on back up to +5mm.

do you have a VCU?
have you done the wheel up test?
Many thanks for reply
yes the vehicle does still have it's vdu and all of its 4wd system intact i did measure tyres across and there are roughly the same size slighty bigger on back
but i didn't measure the rolling diameter or do any wheels up test as this is my first ever 4wd and im not sure how to go about this just wondering if tyres ok or best to change?

do the wheel up test before yu do anything else ~:)search:)

yu mite have a 2wd vcu

any doubt - get all 4 tyres the same make and model - newest to rear

Thanks for reply and heads up on the test have tested everthing ok but i have ordered 4 tyres of the same type being fitted next week as current tyres are quite low anyway
i have ordered 4 firestone destination hp tyres as seemed quite decent and only cost £68 a corner on tyre shopper website. And i will only be using my freelander on the road.
