Freelander 2 (LR2) Rough running

Good morning
New to the forum and would really like some advice.
We have a 2012 Freelander 2 with around 69 thousand miles on it - 2.2 diesel TD4
There is an issue with the car when aiming to drive it over 50 mph where the car feels like an older car would feel if you left the choke out. It increases as speed increases with added vibration at 70mph.
All tyres are the same - we have had the wheels all balanced as I thought it may have been that and we have a new haldex unit fitted, and still the same - and the annoying element beings - its intermittent. As in early this morning drove a distance of 7 miles all fine - did the return and the issue as described above was apparent - any ideas at all please ??

Could it have a boost leak? Leaks in the induction system can cause misfiring and vibration.

I have no idea - I'm guessing a trip to the garage is in order then ?? But that would make sense as its only when there is a 'demand' on the fuel system. As mentioned under 50mph its not noticeable . Thanks - next stop - local garage - appreciate our response

If you can't check for boost leaks yourself, then yes a decent garage will be able to check. The boost hoses are susceptible to cracking, especially the short one at the throttle body.
I replaced all 4 of mine with silicone, just to eliminate them as a future issue.

We are lucky we have a good garage not too far away and I will have a word with them to check.
Being a novice to all things like this - would diagnostics pick it up or is it a case of them jump in and drive to determine the issue -apologies for all muppet based questions
