New door weatherstrips

Hi all, i'm really keen on getting the new weatherstrip found on the bottom of the doors on all brand new defenders.

Does anybody know if they can be fitted to the doors of my 1991 defender? From what i can see in the pictures the doors look identical but with an age difference of over 20 years between mine and a new defender it has made me think that they may have changed the design.

I hope they can be retro' fitted to older defenders 'cos I'm going to get some for mine.

Got to ask, how do they fit to the doors?

They fit using press studs, so would need to drill some holes

Fine. So you seal the doors but how does the water get out from all of the other leaks
