Hi there i have searched - fitted a new valeo heavy duty clutch the other day and noticed when you have your foot very slightly pressing the clutch it squeeks - i know i have a uj with play but it does it in neutral too so im a bit confused - we reinforced the clutch fork as it was cracking where it sits on the ball, fitted clutch & release bearing ( which does seem a bit noisey sometimes ) ??? Only thing wrong was the little plastic clips which fit on the bearing end of the fork seemed broken - would this cause this ? Have i got to take that gearbox out again ? Any answers or advice or even **** takes are more than welcome
Cheers in advance

its best to replace lever and pivot if showing signs of wear ,clip isnt really that important fitted or not ,bearings can be noisy if center slips over to catch the side

Cheers james, you know the little plastic clips im refering to they were broken so it was hsrd to work out how to fit them back in ( one was sat in the bellhousing when we removed the box ) What do they do ? i assume they stop the bearing spinning or something but then so does the fork itself so they seemed pretty pointless to me but must have some function ??

Just looked at a heavy duty clutch fork & thats exactly what we did with mine ( welded a piece if 5 mm plate on the outside the ball wont be pushing through that ) ball it pivots on seemed fine so thats me clutch sorted hopefully - whats next on the list lol

yes thats how you strengthen it ,and it wont wear through very quick but might squeak if contact surfaces are rough
