Today i was told by a friend there is a new taxation coming into place for 4x4s which will see us all paying 400 quid for 12 months road tax. is this true or just speculation?

suggest that you do a search as the subject was well covered at the time of the budget

i was also told you cant drive a van in and around london is its older than a 51 plate or something! its just plain daft.

£400 tax will come in if your car is newer than march 2006 and gives out more than 225gr CO. Before that date old rules apply. Big demand for '55 plate Disco's & RR's.
The London charge within the M25 will go to £250 per day for trucks which do not meet Euro III by next July, Vans by 2012.

Haven't you heard? They've banned ALL cars

LOL! no this particular firend is never happy bunny! first they banned guns, so that was the love of his life gone, then, my mates and i got screwed when they brought in a law to stop the sale of air soft guns and equipment on the uk. so that was two big hobbies of his gone so any time he can winge about the goverment he will.

i cant blame him, i mean paying 70% tax on fuel is a joke, and having to work all week so as to fund some dole dossing scum to toss it off is really quite upsetting. but ill leave that there.

thank god ill not be paying 400 bar to tax my landy new year. since i took her off road at the landy show at langley farm im in love. and the pastle green paint turned more heads the an escort cos at a cruise, it was awesome, even had fit bird come and give me her number. landrover are the business.
