I have just done a trip from the Scottish Borders to Preston, to and fro around there, then down to Monmouth, back up to Liverpool and around, then home again. 840 miles at 25.7mpg. average speed 47mph (bloody M6 was chocker both times..!) The old bus never missed a beat. Sat at a comfortable 75 on cruise control for hours. Only thing was that due to a slight leak in the rear diff oil seal the back door had a fine coat of EP90 on it when I got home. :(
It had been so good I took it down to the car wash and gave it a real good clean. Swallows have **** all over it again now, so it goes!
Disappointing to have seen only ONE other P38, a green 4.0 pulling in to Charnock richard services on Thursday evening. A few nice old Landies in Wales tho'. Anyway, there you go, what a great car it is! :)

Is that a diesel? Surprised you didn't see more P38's I normally see quite a few out and about even now, its nice to see most of them towing and appear to be working vehicles still.

There are quite a few here in Edinburgh. Seeing them more and more.

We even have one that's been to special dept and has bullet and blast proof glass and panels.
