Need help please

Hi there can anyone please tell me where the fuel pump is on a disco 2 td5 i have no power engine turns and starts but then cuts out a friend told me it is the fuel pump but I don't know where that is

It's in the fuel tank.

Ok is there anyway I can get to it with out taking the fuel tank apart as I am in a service station

First you should listen to see if you can hear it whirring when your key is position II. Sometimes it helps to get under the motor to give a listen. If you can hear noise you may have another problem like a clogged filter. How much fuel is in the fuel tank?

To answer your question, you don't have to remove the tank. The pump is accessed through a removable panel underneath the boot carpet.

Ok thanks no noise wen key is in position 2 and there is 1/4 tank of fuel

Have you checked the pump fuse?

Nope what one in the fuse box is the pump fuse please

That I don't know. I drive a RRC. If you've got the handbook, take a look at that.

Also check the fuel pump relay connection, inertia switch hasn't tripped or the connector fallen off it.

Is there any oil in the red Ecu plug?

Is the vehicle broken down on the roadside or is it at home?

I really don't know anything about engines lol so will need you to explain it as if you were talking to a monkey lol sorry

Give the relays in the engine bay fuse box a wiggle and the see if you can hear the fuel pump work. You can also press the rubber covered inertia switch which is attached to the bulkhead in the engine bay to make sure it hasn't tripped.
