Hello, im new to this forum stuff, so please stay with me.
Im 18 and own a Landrover 90 (2.5 Petrol, C-Reg), but after travelling back from Norwich recently, ive had problems with it. The engine is now running very oddly, and when cold tries to cut out. I'll explain what happened... Coming back, slowed down into the slip road, as I slowed down engine started to sound like it was racing, then when I came to a stop, struggled to keep going. I turned in and pulled it over, when I stopped the engine cut out. I managed to get it home after phoning my dad, but had to thrash the guts out of it to pull away each time. I gave it to a freind for 2 weeks (he only had a look) and he's told me its a Carb problem (fuel). So I bought a carb service kit off ebay (32/34 DMTL Service kit) and dad helped me change it all, put it all back on, nothings changed, engine still runs lumpy and sounds like its gonna stall at any moment. Its frustrating us, as I dont have money to keep spending on it due to fuel costs. Need some help... any idea's???
Cheers, Lewis.
