about 3 weeks ago I took my D2 to a pay and play. There were a fair few parts which I couldn't get traction on and I was screwing the truck in both high and low ratio in first and second gear.
Ever since that day I've had the smell of burning clutch which appears every now and then. The first few days it was there all the time.
Anyway, the vehicle goes into gears fine and also drives fine with no clutch slipping.
I'm not sure if I'm imagining it but paranoia set in and the next day the clutch pedal felt a bit softer ( or so I thought).
Maybe it's me just panicking and over thinking everything which could possibly be wrong.

So I'm now wondering if I'm going to be left with no clutch as the burning smell still appears now and then even with careful driving .

Any help would be appreciated

Is my clutch likely to be knackered or is the burning smell just lingering from before ?

Check also the breather to back axle, it might be blocked and pressuring oil out of a seal, and hot gear oil smells a lot like clutch, especially if it’s burning on exhaust
