Need advising

Got a 2016 disco 4 landmark. Not had it long can anyone tell me how effective the timed heater should be cos mine isn't warm and toasty, just about clears side window so I can see the door mirror. Is the heated windscreen on a split as I only have drivers side working.
Finally for now the in control app is asking for a download, how do I get that and where from?

I can answer the HFS question, yes the elements are split, so left and right sides of the glass have separate wiring, and fuses IIRC.
Check for fuse failure and damaged glass ribbon cables.
If the ribbons are damaged, it'll need a replacement screen.

Sounds like a dodgy fuse or relay to me
