Need a type of paint....

Hello. new here. attached a photo of my defender 90 td5.2002.
need a specific paint to touch up the area. any ideas? please? Not actually sure what you call "the area" , but I circled it in black in case it wasn't obvious where I needed the paint.
looks like an acid reaction causing the decay, not rust?

thats the windscreen support bracket now used instead of hinge ,it rusts like that as is a lump of cheap alimium with 2 x steel bolts in it and the electriclitical action between 2 dissimilar metals

just paint it with a bit of hammerite smooth

once it is in that condition, no matter how well you clean it up, etch prime,prime and then top coat and clear it will bubble through in no time. Best to use a black metal paint and paint both of them, at least they will be easy to touch up in the future

The rest of your paintwork looks brilliant! Which mine was that good. Replace them and have them painted to match the rest, it will look like its suppose to. Fantastic!:decision:
