No pics of tractor - was actually a telehandler. He extended the boom, lifted and then retracted and out I popped.

So is what happened, icy corner, crawling in 2nd, car coming towards me other side of the road was a bit over my side and sliding slowly. I lifted off the accelerator to fast (didn’t brake) and steered slightly to move over a bit, this brought the back end round and put me in the ditch. Entirely my fault. Had driven the previous 40miles with no problems.

I gave a blip of throttle and steered opposite lock to encourage the back to go in as I didn’t fancy going in sideways as could have ended up on my roof

Complacency and momentary lack of concentration. My fault entirely. Will take the farmer beers later.

Trust me to pick the only bit with a brick built culvert which prevented me from driving myself out.....
