need a new ignition switch in herts

hi

i have managed to loose my one and only ignition key to my defender 90, e reg with a 200tdi conversion. i use my landy for work so im currently screwed.

i need to get a new ignition switch/barrel asap, and these bank holidays are really starting to grate

does anyone know parts stockists that are likely to have one in herts or north london, i live near watford. obviously im checking online and ive got a few numbers to call in the morning but id thought id ask the forum as well

R&C in Cranfield (Beds) stock them and if you can't get to him during the day he will take it home so you can pick it up from there in the evening. Check out his Ebay store for contact details, price etc.

if you get stuck remove steering lock assembly 2 x snapped head bolts ,remove switch and use switch with screw driver etc

I've got a left handed extractor for such instances I have done all the scrapped motors I've had here without a problem.

Like I say I have one herein my shed as new BUT only one key as brought from Ebay many moons ago. Sounds Dosgy I know Apparently the key was destroyed.

Alternativly I am heading up to Paddocks first thing tomorrow morning early trying to be up there by around 9.00am if you send me your number I'll happily collect it and you can collect it from My house in Luton tomorrow when I get back but you'll have to pay them for it over the phone as I have my money and some already spent.

as its an E reg should be the same ign switch as the one I have for my C reg I think would need to double check. Depends how soon you want it.

thanks for the help guys i got it sorted

went to dingcroft

i had a little problem drilling out the old sheer bolts but got it sorted in the end

need a new ignition switch in herts
