Hi all after being ripped off on my first D2 about three years ago by a dealer, I am now the proud owner of another D2 TD5 which I purchased last Saturday the 23rd.

She has had 6 former keepers, full service history, had the rear chassis already done and only 80 000 miles. However it was a bit of punt as it had no MOT.

So got it MOT'd on Monday and it failed on front bumper ( new one came with car) , break pipe and one tyre. After a late night on Monday it was in for retest on Tuesday and passed with flying colours! Great I thought just in time for the snow.

Wednesday I drove to my mums house on the way to work, went to lock it with the fob and nothing happened so locked it with the key!!!!!, long story short I've now got the Fecking immobiliser problem!!!!!!:mad::mad:

So missed all the snow fun and still sat here waiting for my ECU to be fixed!!!:(

Do you have the Emergency Key Access (EKA) code? Entering that procedure should cancel the immobiliser and allow you to drive it. You can get the EKA from a Land Rover main dealer foc, you will need proof of ownership; the V5.
Our mate @neilly has done a couple of good write-ups at:-
https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/handy-buying-alarm-info.311291/
particularly the attached pdf file called "D2 Alarm issues rev 5"

Just out of info, the codes you tried, where did you get them from?

One of the reasons finding someone with a nanocom to read the EKA code ASAP is a good idea.

Cheers

one was direct from landrover and the other was written in the paper work that came with the car.

Sounds like it was changed. You did use the specific way fo entering it as per the D2 handbook. didn't you??

Cheers
yes tried by me, my neighbour that's had loads of landy's and my mechanic who owns two defenders but still to no avail.:rolleyes: ECU been sent off now any way;);)

OK, well as long as you used the D2 way of entering it and not the D1 way of doing it... amazing how many people make that mistake...LOL
