I have spent many years working and modifying vehicles, mainly dodge 50's but now I have a disco 2 I have the LR bug, I am not thinking of doing much to the exterier look of the vehicle but more uprating the suspension with gas shocks and uprated coil springs, maybe a couple inch lift, the air bags have already been removed but there is a little sag on the driver side front. Other than that some under protection for the diffs and sump, not sure what there is for an autobox but as I want to do some rock climbing type fun I want to protect as much as I can.
I have a real off road need too as I have spent the last few years working on a nature reserve with only 2wd, though I never got stuck, with a LR I can now get to places with a trailer that I couldn't before.
I only have a few pics and have only been able to get on the reserve once, some very nice lumpy squishy tracks but I forgot to stop and take some pics, these are just from where I stopped at the wetland willow coppice a
