My first Landrover project looks like a big job.

I bought my first Landrover project on Monday, a 1984 2.5 110 4c. Ive had a good look at it today and think it will keep me busy for a while.
The doors are knackered, starter motor is falling apart, floor under drivers seat is full of holes, bodywork is ropey all the way round, diesel tank is split, needs a bit of welding, and the interior needs to go on a bonfire, but apart from that its a minter, haha.
Any advise for a newby and any reasonable parts suppliers around Bradford or in East Lancs. would be appreciated

Chassis is good apart from 2 outriggers need small patches.
My son has been doing an engineering course for 2 years so his welding should be up to the task.
Im going to take pics tomorrow and post some on here.

True, get the chassis sorted before anything else, would be like building a bridge on crumbling foundations :D

Have a good look at the bulkhead, check that there isnt rot hidden behind carpets, i have just finished repairing my bulkhead and the worst of the rot was at the top of the footwells behind the dash so wasn't apparent until i had a good look under there.

Cheers doc. :D

But yeah we like boobies too. Well i definitely do, cant speak for all of us though. :D

Sounds like a standard old Landie to be honest! Sort out the most important bits first, get it roadworthy, then treat it as a rolling restoration. With the basics in place, the rest will follow ;)
