my discovery overheating water has pressure

can any 1 help me iv had probs the last 3 days wth my 1991 disco 200tdi
towd a car and my jeep started overheaing and rad cap poped off lost all water and temp guage went high . brough a new cap removed thermo stat as i have no heaters anyway so fort this may help tryd my best to bleed up and is ok wen driveing slow and round town use soon as i put my foot down she starts to creep up on temp guage open'd header tank cap and water bursted out rappidly untill none was left in .. any ideas other than burning the f00ker out!:p
 
You may have a blown head gasket !! A decent mechanic will know how to check !!
It could be the thermostat not opening ! Take it out and try it !! Put it in boiling water see if it opens ! If not its buggered!!
 
i fix cars my self have removed thermostat as got no heaters . the water pipes have pressure my guess would be im bleeding it wrong is there any particular way of bleeding these engines
 
if you take head off drain block by removing brass bung on lhs of engine just in front of engine half way up near front ,you should look for staining across fire ring to water way
