 whats the differance between petrol & dizel ? price wise @ the pumps? :D
must admit i'm wiv you becks was a petrol head but i'm dizel all the way now
have both ends of the scale got a 90 with 200tdi disco engine in it , and me new 90 td5 both are the bollox
used to get a lot of trouble with the wet stuff with me old 2A v8 (now all i got to worry about is it getting into me ecu box on the td5) :D

little tip unsrew ecu wrap it in loads of plastic then screw it back down used to do this when proffesional valeting on the p38 range rovers

i got a better idea when i get around to it a mate is going to fibreglass laminate the inside of the box then i just have to re-design the lid to make it water tight
i should have me snorkel shortly:rolleyes: so will be jobs a good'un :D

Just drill some holes in the ecu to let the water out :bolt:

HA HA! very fookin funny! thats what the local stealers did guess what i found today when i looked  about 5mm of water in the bottom of the box! so those holes work well  its only a week ago i went near any water :mad:

So a week ago they had 35mm of water in ... therefore the holes are working ... ;)

Maybe not as good as you want 'em to thobut? Try drilling them larger ... ;)

the fooking water should'nt be in there in the first place! ECU,ELECTRONICS,FUSES should be water tight! or am i just been fussy?

LOL, I know ... ;)

Sure I've heard about an extension to the ECU loom, sort of an add-in loom to extend the ECU lead so it can be mounted behind the seat. Might be worth looking into.!!

The extension kit I saw was £200+VAT from Scorpion
As far as I know, this was just a lead that relocated the ECU.

It seems a lot of money for a bit of wire and 4 plugs.

Yeah anything was expensive from Scorpion.

Sure I've seen a wiring diagram for one somewhere, with parts list too, but dunno where, I'll look tomorrow.

that would be helpfull mate if you can i know a man who might be able to put it all together ;)

Heres an idea. It might not be a good one, but it's an idea all the same.....

Find a breakers yard with one in and buy the loom. Get an auto sparky to coonect the new loom to yours and mount your ECU in a cage mounted on the roof lining.

already got the wheels in motion to get 1 made with a promanint lz member ;)
