Well we got her an old disco and will be doing it up over the next week.

At present the egr has had a half arsed attempt at disconnecting it - it looks as if someone has just pulled the vac hose and elec' cable off it?

Terrible wheel wobble - not checked which one yet but as there is a rumbling as well i suspect a wheel bearing is shot

As I went over a hump back bridge at speed - upon landing  it dove off the right like a whore with no septum who's just spotted some cocaine. Bit scary, but i think alot of this is down to the aformentioned wheel bearing.

Seats want replacing with the leather electric xs ones out of the other disco i am going to break

Rear r/h damper has been tied on with bailing string :hysterically_laughias the damper mount has snapped off the rear axle. Ill weld that back on in the next few days.

There is a sqeak like a mouse coming from the engine bay that is PROPERLY annoying. I suspect a tensioner bearing has failed as you can see the tensioner moving back and forward lots at idle.

I stupidly opened the cupholder that seemed to be a bit stuck and now it wont stay in when i push it back! DISASTER!!!

The tdi sounds like its never had its tappets done as its bloomin clattery, but it pulls like a train. The fuel and air filter look like they have never been changed! Disgustingly dirty.

Its only done 112,000 with all the history and mot's to prove it. and the bodyworks in tidy nick

Sunroof of course leaks

Very pleased though for the £740 ive paid for it :)

Can someone tell me where the vacuum pipe is that gets blanked off when removing the egr? As someone has already removed the pipe i just want to be sure it has been blanked but im struggling to find it haha.

Seems to have a poor vacuum at the brake so im hoping its something silly like this :)

One goes to the airbox, on the lid on mine. T'other to something that is falling about loose on the inner wing on my shed like disco. If nobody answers before I get home I will check later for you.

Scary death wobble solved. Someone has been in there and attempted to adjust the wheel bearing, not bent the tabs over or done the locking nut up. So it was free to do undo! Nice!

Disaster averted

Did you forget to up her life insurance again? :D

The vacuum pipe runs around the back of the engine and plugs in on the bulkhead on the LHS of the head.

I've a spare set of 33 x 12.50s that'll be going on.

Obviously after dome mods to get them to fit.

First though is to sort it all out. The engines terribly rattly and that roped on damper needs sorting!

Rev counter jumps around alot and the alternators making a sneak so I think that's about to die. Fortunate that I have this other 300tdi I can rob for bits ;)

doh! how wrong i was to only do the first wheel i found that had a bad wheel bearing.

Its a bit better but the "death wobble" still exists around 60 mph. Will check out panhard rod bushes as well.

It feels like the back end is tucking if you take a corner at speed (it feels bloody awful!)

Don't take this the wrong way... but... are you sure you are breaking the right one ?!?!??:D

trailing arm bushes are likely to cause that feeling.

Well, I was only saying :D

( take the front prop off, and lock the centre diff to drive it - it won't break then !!)

i didnt have any tools with me so i just had to drive it the 75 miles home.

my bum cheeks are now like iron. they should make people drive scary vehicles to lose weight.

its removed now and the oil leak mentioned on the mot cert is pretty bad. Cant see where its coming from as its bloody everywhere.
