I have only been driving 2yrs, motorways scare the **** out of me still! I also don't think I learnt much about driving on them and had to figure it out myself. When I passed my test I put p plates on my car by choice but I found other drivers to be really rude to me trying to hurry me along beeping at roundabouts etc. After only a week I took the plates off and noticed other drivers impatience calmed a lot.
Isn't the county of Dumplings the only one with no motorways
boss of livers is from Sea Palling;)

Certainly is, I have driven to isle of wight couple of times so have used motorways, but we do only have duel carriageways here, had to drive on one for my test, got stuck behind a police rolling block thingy so it was pointless!

Already have - it's called the A30.
A special Friday afternoon and Saturday morning car-park for Emmets.
Kepps em out the way of the locals whilst we go about our business on the old roads. ;)

:p

When we stay at Bideford, we take the A39 down to Bude to see my Dads cousin ...
if we go further we just follows the A39 for a bit ...

from the first post, been out in van Swansea and Cardiff area's and every time i have had prob's slip road, hard shoulder it has always been a pensioner or a gentleman of Asian descent but when cut up or tail gated it's them DAM youngsters in the little tin can's. WHY DO PEOPLE DO 30 MPH ON TO MOTORWAY THEN AS SOON AS LEAVE SLIP ROAD ACCELERATE TO 120 MPH ???????????

No motorways in dorset either! hence why the whole place comes to a stop in tourist season as everyone wants to go to weymouth but has to go down A35 or A31 roads.

I agree more training is needed these days when passed for the motorway as the roads are so busy these days compared to even a few years ago. I think P plates are stupid as they make them as big of a target to get in front of as a learner. Not me though im a coach driver so have oooodles of patience :D. Also dont think it helps with so many people from different countrys on our roads. We are all taught different and alot of countrys roads are so much different i think that doesnt help our roads. I suppose i would be the same driving in there countrys i would not be as good for the first couple of months.

I am a white van man so travel the motorways in the south west a lot and it never amazes me what I see any more. A few weeks back on the m5 there were two lorries pulled up on the hard shoulder ( both foreign ) and in between the two trucks the drivers had a little table set up and were having lunch. Numpties

I was on M5 last night (only for a couple of junctions I had some prick behind me all the way. Why was he/she, a prck? Because I was doing 60mph in the inside lane and she or he? was going slightly less in the middle lane. all the way for at least the 6miles I was on there. This was at 11.00pm so Motorway was virtually deserted.
