:frusty: Oh well, Ive bit the bullet and booked it in for the MOT on Monday, so this gives me the weekend to tidy up all the loose ends, well that is untill i get the list of stuff that needs doing lol.:doh:

Oh Well we never made it to the MOT:doh::doh::doh::doh::doh: got it out on the road and the clutch pedal went, oh pooh i thought so canceled the MOT got out the Bleed kit and blead the pedal up, I think it was just old fluid because there were no leaks visable (well not clutch fluid anyway) so i just had the phone in hand rerady to see if I could get a slot after lunch when a freind rang and said she had water running through the dieling of the Gents Loo (she runs a pub) being the good samaritan I shelved the MOT and when and sorted out her leaking pipe. Never mind same time tomorrow Mot is rebooked so hopefully fingers crossed wind in the right direction I might make it to the MOT in the morning,:crazy_driver::crazy_driver:

Oh well "rusty is back on the drive awaiting my return, she failed the MOT:(:(, I thought she might as its been off the road 2 years, they found another place to weld, and the brakes pull 1 way when heavy breaking, (I never went over 35 on the way there I wanted to savour the experience) and the new head light i got from ebay throws up the wrong pattern, its a usa one no uk, you learn something every day, on she smokes abit too much so it hink i will have to drain out all the old fuel and put some new fresh in with a couple bottles of injector cleaner.
so back under her later, I never said it would be an easy project!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D

I had a bike with a usa headlamp, you can get round the issue by filling off the little lug and rotating the glass so the pattern is more or less correct.

Sealed beam units should still be available from your local motor factor - I got a pair last year for about a fiver each.

weve all been there, keep plodding on,
for the brakes check the wheel cylinders are both good and the snail cam adjustment,

the smoking might be a worry, black? , blue? might have to tinker with pump timing on that

It has been stood for a couple of years, i did put in a couple of gallons of fresh fuel but i never changed the fuel filter or engine oil, so ithink this time service the engine and even flush it and clean out the fuel tank (saving the fuel for when or if she passes the test and put 5 gallons new fuel in with a bottle of injector cleaner, the only problemwith that is trying to give it a good run as it has no mot! In all fairness i knew the brakes might be a problem and had already ordered new cylinders and shoes have got the oil seals to do the axle at the same time, but it thiught oh well ill give it a go you never know :rolleyes::rolleyes:

:confused::rolleyes:
Well the new head light turned up today, and its the same as the one that failed MOT and its the same part number as Paddocks website, and looks the same as the picture on another website!!!!!!!!!!!
so I will have to wait and see what mr MOT tester says this time
:cool::cool::cool:

Oh well the RETEST is booked for Monday, thats the last of the welding done, brakes all adjusted, emmisions sorted (hopefully) and the new headlight replaced, so fingers crossed she will pass unless he finds anything else!!!!!!
Ill let you know how it gets on
:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

the spanners are already in the back:D:D:D:D:D:D:D along with the head light i took oot just incase he dont think i changed it lol need to go the long way round to the test centre so i can try to bed in the new brakes the adjust them riht up b4 she goes in, I think she scared them last time as it smoked oot the MOT bay lol on low tick over, hope got it sorted now, so fingers crossed

oh well good news and bad news, they passed most of the items that it failed on last time but now i have to replace a head lamp adjuster as it is out of alignment, and some patches that were put on by the previous owners need to be welded all the way around and they found one more hole in the chassis which they missed last time so 4 little jobs to do:doh::doh::doh::doh::doh::doh:and its pishing doon with rain
