Ken is recovering from a eye opp at the moment, he should get his new glasses next week. He said he will put a route together for us once he can see. I suggested down to Tantan then along the Plage Blanche, then inland and head back up. Or the other way round. I would like to make sure we do the Atlantic coast. As soon as I have a route I will post it on here.

Still following, nearly got vehicle matriculated once done will start preparing it.Just back from a few days in Tangier can't wait to take 101 there! Though will cost a lot more than the 40€ I spent on diesel getting there and back lol.

Starting to think what I have to do to prepare the Defender for Morocco. 1) Put the roof rack and LED lighting back on. 2) put the bull bars back on. 3) still debating whether to put the snorkel back on or just take an extra air filter. 4) reinstall the CB aerial connections. 5) what to do about shocks? they appear fine and have done one trip across Morocco. Might just risk it. All ball joints have recently been changed as have the wheel bearings. Fitted Timkin's.
Will definitely get some storage boxes that can be tied down in the back to hold all the food etc. Don't want jars of Spaghetti Bolognese ending up on the inside of the windscreen like last time.

Sorry boys going to have to pull out of this one :( maybe 2019... Good luck and I shall follow :D
Sorry to hear you wont be able to make it, but many thanks for letting us know. March is still a long way off. I'm sure we will have a couple of others that will come and go for various reasons. The last time we went we had one guy who the day before our departure was up for the trip but never showed up. We were hanging around waiting for him trying to contact him to see if he needed help which was a bit of a bummer. We never heard from him again.
If your situation changes, you know where we are.
All the best.

Hi Mike,

Ok, the dates work for me, I'll check with Rachel to see if she wants to come, I don't think she will. I'll plan for going, but I will not be going into hot deep desert or up high mountains unless I get my porous block sorted.

Great news. leaving on the 25th March might be a bit cooler. Adam has said he is up for the trip but Sid is sitting this one out. Adam is looking for a passenger. James has also said he is up for it providing he gets his 90 ready.
Ken is recovering from a cataract operation, he said as soon as he gets his new glasses and can see again he will work out a route. Unfortunately he wont be coming he will still be in Africa.
You still planning on stopping over in October on your way to the Alps. Would be good if you are? Do you have any dates in mind .

Just read your 2015 post and then this thread pops up,don't know if I'll be ready just waiting for Portuguese authorities to finalize matriculation of my 101 so can't add any non-standard stuff till it's done they're bloody strict at inspections here and it's going through as a commercial even tougher! But will follow and see what happens.Off to Tangier next month for a couple of nights leaving the diesel van in Spain Tarifa's about 4hr drive from here however may be able to join you next year will keep checking in .
Cheers Rob

Sounds like we are getting a plan together. Which part of France are you in. We live in the middle of the triangle between Lyon, St Etienne and Clermont Ferrand. James one of the other guys also live in France. They are up in the North West.

I have another English friend out that way. I will have to see how close he is to you when I get back. We are in our camper at the moment at lac aiguebelette for a few days so I don't have all my addresses to hand.
