O Dear - It never ends. General grabber AT2's are not that expensive, and they are brilliant. I went 235 (trying to minimise vision loss over the bonnet spare - like that worked well :p)

Sorry never made it round today, only just got back. Much progress made though, just my storage system and some cable tiding up to do. O and my damn CB does not fit in my roof console, so something creative needs to be done there..

Use a hammer to make it fit, if that doesent work, go to the next biggest hammer and continue in this fashion, it usually works on landrovers. :D

Theres £2 in it between the sizes so will probaly go 265/75 just so the defender and disco are on the same size. I have three spare 265/75 16s so the disco can have one of them so only have to buy 4.

I just realised we are set to leave in 11 days.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ollie at inside out is pulling some rear shock mounts off an old landy as we speek for my new rear shock absorbers. TerraFirma +2 big bores. :5bdrool5: The first non-****part parts to go on my landy! it realy needs them the handeling is leathel when loaded.

Rich I emailed Ferry Booking confirmation to your hotmail - you should get it for 322 Euro's return, choose Car/Land Rover/Other, and put in you length and height.

more like 2.5m or 8 foot with a roof rack and tent mabe more i would have thought. My 90 is bloody mahusive in height.

I heared at a recent a comp up North they banned all strops even the semi kinetic pro comp ones and would only allow 24mm and above nylon/poly ropes. Because some tit used them and it let go causing damage to both vehicles and is now under review by somone to decide if they are indeed ok for MSA events because it was a rally car worth a fortune and a newish defender that were damaged.

To be fair Ive seen spydermans and they are good enough still think the abuse ropes take there is no compaison and for getting really suck motors out I would trust a good rope over anything else. Also if you watch a good recovery with a rope it makes the recovery seem effortless.

Like this one at 04:05 :D Didn't even feel the rope snap tight. :D :D [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2rNRDgm7nU"]YouTube- LZ on the Plains[/ame]

Vehicle height 1.99m, who do you think you are kidding!?! Youd better hope the car deck is tall enough, cos thats where there loading you. :D

When you book there is a separate box for wether you are carrying items on your roof, I ticked that and selected 500mm as the height of my additional roof crap, so don't panic :D

Your working at inside out now? i remember you were applying for work experience a while back. Was that the disco rolled on its side? I had a feeling they would be off that.

These shocks are mahusive, look like they will do the job where the ES9000 and OE shocks failed. I hope i welded on my spring seats in the right place, its gona be a snug fit.

Rich is going to sleep now. :D

They are ok, they are best suited for a pay and play type off roader, their a budget shock, work well off road but will give up after a year or so of punishemnt (as will most shocks). When my dad had his TD5, mine always had a better ride due to its ES9000s. Will be fitting some to the Disco if we go ahead with it.

Rich did you get that console wired up ?

I've just been doing some last minute shopping, just got a Camel Trophy Bull Bar, to protect my subwoofer from any potential cow impact :D

Also fired up my compressor today, it kicks ass !

I am almost certain that bull bar will not fit your winch bumper!:( Youll have to cut off the front mounts and weld it on with some braces like ive done to make it fit, not somthing you would want to do with upmarket winch bumper!

Im glad the compressor works, cos im running on that wheel i busted in the lakes. :D

Ihe console is all wired up, interiour light is far superiour to befor, all the wiring is MUCH better quality and rating, the rear work light works, the spot light wiring is installed, though the lights arnt bolted on. Both radios are installed and running. Roof consoles are the way foward, way less wiring and crucialy, none of it runs through the bulk head, where it can inconspicuasly catch fire and melt your loom. I still cant get those wires out they are melted to everything.
