Yet another cursed disco;

Also i knowtis you still have your standard spring retention plates, my defender ones have both snaped befor, and one i took off the disco was broken too and its never been offroad! I orderd HD ones with the kit it was just as well, the standard ones arnt up to the task.

Is there an official launch date? Don't forget to take co-ordinates of the best routes guys. Take lots of pictures. (I don't need to say have fun, because by the sounds of things, that is almost guaranteed )

Hi Guys

I'm safe in a hotel in Bilbao, waiting for the Sunday ferry home. The other guys are driving through France, but the "black pig" (my land rover) is badly wounded, and I haven't slept for 4 days, so wimped out, and took the easy way home. The hotel has plenty of beer and beautiful spanish woman, so I will be okay

It will take me a while to process everything that happened, and put it into words, but the first things that springs to mind are, absolutely amazingly awesome, nearly dying, breaking down alone in the sahara desert, blowing the gearbox while coming down Mogador mountain in heavy cloud, getting "kidnapped and robbed" by drug lords, 4 hour taxi ride from Bar Berred to Tetuaoen through the Riff mountains with 4 very stoned Moroccons, including the Driver

No definately, I also would not have done any risky off road stuff had Rich not been there to rescue me. A completely lone wolf trip would thus be a bit boring, unless of course you blow a gearbox and don't speak the lingo, and the only person who has a replacement box is a drug lord who lives in the Riff mountains

Thinking my next hol will be Butlins in Bognor Regis

It was nice to meat you briefly in Morocco. Your pics look good. Did you mate get to go flying at any of the sites I gave you?

After getting my tyre sorted the day I met you I got stuck up to my axels in mud on the banks of the lake:doh: but it gave me the change to use my waffles, winch and land anchor lol. Some local tried charging me 1000 Euros to get a tractor to pull me out, said I would be there all day. I offer to bet him 100 Dirum I would be out in an hour, but he didnt take it. I was out in 45min.

Hope your after holiday blues arent as bad as mine, man it sucks going back to work.

Hey Mike,

It was good to meet you two, man that was one hapening garage Just been doing a trip report, on 4 typed A4 pages and still going. I did a chapter on meeting you and some mad scottish blokes who had broken 3 rental cars offroading them, and were relectant to take back another one to the rental company so were trying to get if fixed

Rick was very chuffed with your co ordinates, I think he flew at 3 of those spots. They other guys will no doubt post more pics of that.

Give us a shout if you come up London way, we'll take you laning or something
