Cool nice picure. Yea its all fun in the sun with this engine. Sent the picutres of the engine to my dad, hes in the falklands now which isnt particualy helpfull. He phoned up a friend of his whos had a Disco 1 since new, and doesent use it any more. Offered to buy it off him and he said ok so im going to look at it for him on saturday. I would prefer to fix the yank but we dont think we can trust it enough, so will maybe get the disco and fix the jeep to flog it. Or ill have it when we get back, i still like that jeep. I know somone who will have the disco afterwards too. Bloody four wheel drives. :D

Yea it's a good pic, Ray likes to take his time editing and stuff, so no doubt he will get them all up eventually.

I like the Disco idea, common parts and spare wheels, not to mention better knowledge of the mechanics has got to be a better idea, you can flog the yank tank after you have rebuilt the engine, or even keep it

Yea im super impressed with the detail and colours, the photo has better colours than i could see at the time. i feel more conftorable with a landrover, especialy since we know the guy and he wouldent even take it down a dirt track and will have had it serviced by landrover till current.

Yes, the detail is thanks to Ray's EOS 5D, and the colour is thanks to photoshop :D I just got the original RAW image from Ray, gonna make a HDR print from that, should be significantly better.

When we get back from Morocco I'm gonna take 6 of the best images and blow them up for my pub, it's ridiculous that my pub is full of dog pictures and has no Land Rovers.

So Rich do we have a disco ?

No cant see the Disco till thursday now. Is that a Li-Po Brushless jobey? If so it will fly for hours and hours and hours.... And thats not a glider it has a motor on the front! :p Im sure i could make somthing fly that i have in the shed, there must be 10 rc aircraft in there each with its own issues, (and no radio gear), but ive got enough to do already! I like my lil swing wing but its very dead at the moment.

Yip - everytime I go the model shop there is some new thing I have never heard of. The motor may go on an on, but I usually crash after about 5 minutes :p

You say motor, I say Paraglider Butt Mucher :D

but ive got enough to do already! I like my lil swing wing but its very dead at the moment.

Me too, dunno what the fook I was thinking, when will I have time to assemble the damn thing ???

Actually, i think ill inspect the condition of the rest of it befor i commit to that, the last time i flew it was in 2001.

I think you probably have enough to do already :D

I just thought if you were going to be jumping off mountains I should have something to throw off too. Saying that, the only matching TX - RX I have been able to find is missing the TX Battery, so that is another issue to resolve.

Anyway, I'm about to head of to Kris'es, to hopefully finish of all the little things, will give you a call on the way back and hopefully pop in and drop off that winch hook.

Yea im getting unwanted noises from the drive again, think the transfer box is on the way out, i will inspect it in a minuit, change it or just bring a spare.

Im gona have to lift the discovery i think so thats more work, my dad wants to fit some ATs to it, but the discos dont have enough wheel arch space realy for a good tyre size, will go with 265/75 16 or 235/85 16, which evers cheapest. Gona cost a fortune.

O Dear - It never ends. General grabber AT2's are not that expensive, and they are brilliant. I went 235 (trying to minimise vision loss over the bonnet spare - like that worked well :p)

Sorry never made it round today, only just got back. Much progress made though, just my storage system and some cable tiding up to do. O and my damn CB does not fit in my roof console, so something creative needs to be done there..
