Hi all. I have been reading about adjusting the fuel pump and done it to my old 200 TDi.
But a friend of mine said i shouldn't do it by the pump i should just advance the timing 1/4 a turn on the screw on the pump

What are your thoughts on this? As i cant find nothing on it
Thanks in advance.

I think your friends getting confused. The pump doesn't adjust the timeing. I thinks he's on about the screw on the pump some people call the "Daddy screw" All it does it let more fuel in. Its not a screw to by played with unless you know for sure what your doing.
