More illumination

I'm thinking of adding a light bar to my Defender 90 tdi300, It already has 2 lamps on the A bar, If I add 4 more to the light bar will the battery and altenator take the load of 6x55 watt lamps plus the 2 main beam headlamps?

at the same time - 6*55watts+2*65 = 460Watts = 38 Amps - yo Alternator shud handle it - but yu will have to rewire half yo car.

Some nice thick 6mm tri-rated cable then and a 30amp relay for the lighting bar, and a seperate relay for the A bar lamps then.

56/0.30mm, 4mm2, Thinwall wire, Rated at 39amp will be fine.

i have 2 100w headlight bulbs and 4 wipac 8" lights on the abar i removed the 100w bulbs in them and put 55w in them..i run 4 55w lights on the abar but i run them and me winch on the battery of the split charge system

mines been up there over a year now........no probs,and ive uprated bulbs in the headlamps and A bar spots too
